Perennial Autonomy has provided Ukraine’s Defense Forces with 250 Merops interceptor drones and five ground stations through the Dronefall fundraising campaign, according to the Come Back Alive Foundation.
The equipment is valued at ₴44.3 million, or approximately $990,000. Come Back Alive described it as one of the largest in-kind donations in the foundation’s history and the largest contribution to the Dronefall project.
Fixed-wing counter-drone interceptors
Merops is a counter-drone system built around Surveyor, a high-speed fixed-wing interceptor intended to engage Geran- and Gerbera-type drones as well as reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Surveyor can reach speeds of up to 282 km/h and has an operating range of 5 to 20 km. It can destroy targets through kinetic impact or use a warhead weighing about 2 kg. If it misses its target, the interceptor can return by parachute for reuse.
Dronefall campaign completed
Dronefall was completed by the Come Back Alive Foundation, Atlas Festival and PrivatBank. The campaign raised ₴174 million, about $3.9 million, for systems intended to shoot down enemy drones, the foundation said.
Separately, Come Back Alive and Uklon announced the Interception Vectors fundraising campaign, which is intended to support the Arkan School for interceptor-UAV operators.
