Drones attacked a logistics warehouse operated by LLC Modern Warehouse Technologies in Russia’s Moscow region on September 20, 2026, according to Militarnyi. The outlet reported that the warehouse facility was completely destroyed in the resulting fire. Neither the type of unmanned aircraft used nor the party responsible for the reported attack was identified in the report.
Video published by the Exilenova+ channel showed the warehouse burning. A separate image posted by the channel after the incident was described as showing what remained of the Modern Warehouse Technologies warehouse. The footage provides visual evidence of a major fire at the site, although Militarnyi’s report did not provide an independent assessment of the extent of damage beyond its description of the facility as destroyed.
Militarnyi also cited NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System, known as FIRMS, which detected a fire at the location at 3:58 a.m. The reported attack took place in the morning. The FIRMS detection establishes that a heat event was recorded at the site, while the report linked the fire to the drone attack.
Commercial storage complex near Britovo
The warehouse is located approximately 30 km from Moscow, according to Militarnyi. The site is in the Ramensky district of Moscow region, near the village of Britovo. Modern Warehouse Technologies is a Russian company working in commercial real estate and warehouse logistics and is described by the outlet as the effective owner and operator of the production-and-warehouse complex.
The company offers warehouse premises measuring 8,000 square metres or more for lease and sale, the report said. Construction was continuing at the complex on Section No. 5 of Production and Warehouse Building No. 6 at the time of the reported strike. The company is also listed in business directories as a provider of warehousing and storage services.
Militarnyi said the available information indicated that the attacked site was used for storing goods. It did not establish whether the damaged facility was connected to either Ozon or Wildberries, two Russian e-commerce companies. The report therefore did not identify a specific commercial customer, tenant or cargo associated with the warehouse affected on September 20.
Previous drone strikes on regional logistics facilities
The reported fire at the Modern Warehouse Technologies complex follows earlier drone attacks on Wildberries logistics centres in the Moscow region that Militarnyi attributed to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The outlet presented the September incident in the context of those previous operations, but did not attribute this latest attack to a particular Ukrainian military formation.
Militarnyi reported that on July 18, 2026, Ukraine’s 1st Center of Unmanned Systems Forces attacked and completely destroyed a warehouse in Elektrostal, also in Moscow region. The logistics centre struck in Elektrostal was considered Wildberries’ second-largest facility by order-processing volume, according to the outlet.
For the September 20 incident, the source linked the event to a drone attack and cited both footage and satellite-based fire-detection data, but it did not disclose the number of drones involved, their launch location, their technical characteristics or the means by which the warehouse was struck.
